I'm also running Advanced Task Killer(close apps easier), SetCPU (control processor speed) and AdFree (like adblock in chrome/firefox) but you need to root your phone for these to work.

Reminds me of this guy i knew who used SpeedFan when it first came out and he set his fan to something stupid like 20000RPM and it stayed like that forever

Its a great app lav, I've got it set up so it underclocks/overclocks depending on what I'm doing. When It's in standby (screen off) it drops right down to 200mhz thus saving loads of battery. Since I've set it up I've gone from getting around 15hours battery with heavy usage to around 2 and a half days.
