First positive news in a while

He's the best we could realisticly get at the moment and if anyone was going to get Leeds promoted in the next year or 2 i'd fancy it to be Warnock.

He might not be the best manager tactically but he's a proven record of getting teams promoted, he won't take any shit from anyone, he'll make us hard to beat and our players will be 100% committed. He's a cunt, he's hated, we're hated, we're a good match. We're the biggest club he has and will ever manage and he'll be desperate to get us up. Think Bates will back him more than Grayson too.

Good appointment

Should have him in charge today so he can tell one of our players to break that cunts leg....like he instructed one of his to do to Gary Kelly.

Before my time but wasn't Wilko seen as a bit of dour, miserable cunt who played a boring brand of football by Leeds fans around the time he was appointed? Probably all three were true to a certain degree but I'll take Warnock if he's half as succesful here.

He will turn us into the nasty cunts we have always been
In Colin i trust
I remember him bringing Scarborough into the Football League when he was a part time chiropadist!! Look North or whoever did an interview with him and I instantly grew a likeness for him, cos he talked straight and gave honest answers. I've 'you tube'd' the half time bollocking he gave the Huddersfield team years ago and to be honest, with the current state of the team, and the current mindset of the fans I feel he's exactly what we need right now.
I'm contradicting myself, I know, as I've previously stated that in my opinion we should be looking for long term stability with a manager to stay for years,(he's 63) but the club and fans have fallen into a real low ebb over the last month or two and we all need a fucking shot in the arm. I feel Neil Warnock has the right credentials and characteristics to bring back that 'fuck you' seige mentality and chip on our shoulder that we all thrive on. The type of collective 'us against the world' mentality that, dare I say it, Wise and Poyet created in the minus 15 season.
I don't know whether he'll succeed or fail, but all I know is for the first time in a long time, I have a feeling of optimism, and for once I am looking forward to going back again. I'm not going today, and it's torturing me a bit cos I feel a bit disloyal, but once he takes over for real, I hope we, the supporters can play our part and rekindle the growl that we seemed to have lost, especially at Elland Road, and make the place fucking bounce again.

Good appointment. Let's face it, we need someone who is going to 'ruffle some feathers'.

Must get a win today then hopefully he can spearhead a revival. But, as always, Bates out.

Would rather have had Grayson here, but once he was sacked and it got down to the last few days I think the only decent enough candidates were McCarthy and Warnock. Would have preferred McCarthy - he's won this league twice and kept a team in the Premier League, but still reasonably satisfied with Warnock - he could be exactly what we need, I desperateky hope that it does work out because he has massive passion for football and is a blunt Yorkshireman, despite me thinking he's being slightly overrated by a fair few.

7 'lucky' promotions - really?? No one can be that lucky surely? 1 or even 2 but 7??
I dont care how he gets us up as long as he does and if we are his 8th lucky promotion are you going to complain?
We need someone to shake up this bunch of players and if we win ugly so be it... its going to be a bumpy ride at times but we must trust that NW will deliver and support him regardless of his past, his style, his arrogance etc. Bates might have just made the best decision he's ever made at Leeds... time will tell.
We needed experience and Warnocks the best available by far.

The reason I dont like him is that I think he's an overrated manager. Tactically inept, incapable of man management and thoroughly despises Leeds.

My 'fancy' was McCarthy. Followed by Freedman. Followed by Ickenham fucking white followed by this silly old cunt.

Cheap dig that. Freedman wwould never have left Palace, he's a Palace boy at heart and hasn't been in the game long. Warnock is an horrible cunt and I like horrible cunts that will scare people and make us nasty again. I want us to be hated all over the country again

Let's hope for a miracle and he's actually backed in the summer

He's a good manager, if overrated by many. My mate is a QPR season ticket holder and he loved him in the Championship, but was pleased he went this year as he didn't think he was good enough for the Prem, which is basically what people have been saying on here. But to be honest, so what? If he takes us up next year then I'll love him, we'll be back. Heck, Ken might even be dead. We can deal with that if we get there, for now I'm sick of looking into the future because it's got us nowhere and I want some success now, and this guy is a man who I believe can get us there.

The official site never ceases to amaze with its shitness. Claiming that Warnock took Palace up to the Premier league in 2008. Good work Dewsy.

Dead chuffed with this. I used to hate the bloke, but he's exactly the kind of cunt I will learn to love.

Really pleased it's 18 months as well, rather than end of the season that was being reported.

I think success this season is unlikely, but fingers crossed he's backed in the summer and we make a real go of it next year.

Fucking come on Leeds.

Oh, and die Ken Bates, really soon. Thanks.

He's "only" got to get us promoted really.

Once we're up then all sorts of possibilites open up for a club like ours.

Good appointment. He perfectly suits our club and will hopefully bring back the mentality of ''We're Leeds United and we don't give a fuck.'' We need an extra bit of bite in the side and I can see Warnock starting with the midfield. Maybe Shaun Derry returning ?

I used to be completely against Warnock but he was the best available and I actually think he will fit in well here.

Come on Leeds let's get back to where we belong. :scar:
