Ran into a bit of money problems this month, anyway i missed my car insurance payment. Rang them up and they said i had till 22nd at 9pm to pay otherwise my policy would be cancelled...
Scraped the money together over last few days, drove to bank and put it in my account at lunch, rang up insurers and they told me my policy had been cancelled. Argued with them over the phone and etc but got nowhere.
Drove back to work to setp up a new insurance with a different company and a copper was stood scanning cars as i drove past. Does anyone know if they scan for insurance? Would they have stopped me there and then or will i get something through the post? This is the first time i've missed a payment on my insurance.
Just read online and it says you're given 6-8 points, i've only been driving for 14 months so i get double points so i imagine i will lose my license, hence why i'm bricking it!
Any help/advice will be appreciated.

Anyway even if you do get the letter through the post and worst comes to worse... you can always explain the situation, and take it to court in a worst case senario?

Mate firstly calm the fuck down, you're just feeling guilty because you know there is problems with your insurance, you see a copper and bingo the fucking anxiety kicks in.
YOU WILL BE FINE, JUST GET ANOTHER POLICY SORTED, it will take a few days for the cancelled policy to be activated , in reality you have learned that your previous insurance company are a bunch of cunts and you might get a better deal with a new deal.
Good luck mate

It seems you have got away with it but looking at your car crushing it might not be a bad thing.
